Mama's Kebaphaus is almost an institution in Altschwabing. This snack bar (with seating) is in the centre of the bar district and is a magnet for everyone who has been out for a couple of beers and needs something to fill the gap on the way home. However, this eatery is not just for night owls and you can choose between the daily special, and a delicious range of Turkish dishes. Nevertheless, it has to be said that the speciality of the house is the doner kebab. There is also a good choice of drinks ranging from long drinks, aperitifs, Sekt (German equivalent of champagne), liqueurs, wine, spirits and - let's not forget the staple refreshment in Munich - beer

My husband and I were in Munich 2 years ago - and we're planning another 2 week trip this coming summer. We enjoyed the BEST sandwich at a little turkish restaurant/cafe - would love to know what it's actually "called". The gentleman carved meat right off a spinning roaster, and loaded it into a roll with lettuce, tomatoe, onion, chilli powder and some type of creamy garlic sauce. Can somebody help identify it for me?

This is really NOT a good Kebab. I have eaten many of them in my life and this one does not make the cut of even being decent...

It's good because it is right next door to the Schwabinger 7

One of the worst kebabs I've ever eaten and I've eaten many of them. Dunno how someone can spoil so simple meal, but yep, they managed. Never again. Their pides looked good though. Wanna try great turkish food in Germany? Visit Dresden.
