A great french restaurant where the owner explains the menu with real charm. Food is excellent, whether you choose meat or fish. Everything is fresh and presented beautifully. The creme brulee is a MUST!!! As for the service, the small team staff made me feel very welcome and kept the wine glass full. Atmosphere is nice yet comfortable. For a table on the weekend reservations are a must.

This is a small but quaint restaurant. I went last night and food was excellent. I ordered the beef rib steak rare and it came really rare, nearly blue. It was absolutely delicious but had to send the inner bit of the steak back for another minute on the grill. She had the ray, which was equally good. I ordered a glass of the day of red because she was driving and when I asked if it were possible to have a Côte de Rhone, he said no problem and uncorked an excellent 1998. Desserts and cappuccinos were also exceptional. The service was formal but very friendly. Having said that, the evening turned out a little more expensive that expected. Mains cost around 20, desserts around 7, wine of the day per glass 7.

Nice restaurant. I wouldn't rate the food as that exceptional. But everything else is good. Service is friendly. There are no printed menus so the guy comes round and balances a large blackboard on your table (nice touch). Atmosphere is good. It's a small cosy place. It felt a bit hot the other night but that may just have been me coming down with a virus. Minor complaint: contrary to a review above, my wine glass didn't remain full the whole evening.

The food here is fantastic and the service is friendly. It's on the expensive side, though: I think the main courses were around 22 euros each, starters were around 10 euros, and I shudder to think what the wine cost. Overall, though, an excellent restaurant, one I would definitely recommend.

Made reservation last Thursday for this Monday at 7PM. Disappointingly the restaurant was closed, all pitch dark, when we arrived there at 6.45PM. Oddly, when I phoned them up, only the AM was running, anouncing opening hours: Monday-Saturday from 6PM-1AM We were really annoyed as we planed to meet friends there, as it didn't seem they would manage to start heating up their kitchen we decided to go somewhere else. If you make reservations there, make sure they are relly open!!

I didnt think they were open on Mondays! Unfortunately you missed a treat as this is a great restaurant

The food is very good for Munich but not exceptional value - although they obviously use high quality ingredients and create good dishes from them it's priced at the high side of what it's worth. The service can also be erratic when the place is busy but typical for French restaurants the wine recommendations from the waiters are excellent. In short it's a fine place to go for a treat but don't over-hype it before going.

Still excellent. Organised a birthday dinner for 11 people there and service and food were outstanding. They were really accommodating with allowing us to decorate the place and also bring in a couple of jazz musicians too. Everyone enjoyed their food and aside from their champagne being over priced I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place.

Nice place, good atmosphere and service. Small tables. Food good but not exceptional given price. Overall a nice evening, but will try a few others before perhaps returning.

we did reservation for a table not at the entrance for four, we get it on the stairs to the kitchen. very small tables, close to next table. service was to quick, bit pushing. food was not worth the money, too expensive and not on the standard it had to be.

I echo the praise that's been given to this restaurant. Outstanding food, energetic service, and exceptional wine recommendations. One of my guests fancied himself a bit of a conoisseur of fine wine, and the maitre d' happily spent a long time humouring him, and imparting some genuine wine knowledge to boot. Expensive, but worth it.

Loved it last night. And it's already completely nonsmoking, even before the ban. The open wine was not great though, will take a bottle next time. Foie Gras wonderful, scallops also, lovely lamb and of course it's Wildzeit so my date had Wildschwein - and the dessert plate is a bit of each, good thing as it'd be too hard to decide otherwise. It's also in the Mercussini coupon book which I'll recommend: paid for itself in one dinner -- Mercussini.de

We tried it last month for my husband's birthday and we loved it. So much that I've just booked a table for my birthday and look forward to it!

Had my bday dinner there last night. Very, very good. The Cassolet d'escargots and the Entrecote Charolaise, just superb (rare the french way of course)... Up there with Olympiaturm without the view!

Not cheap but really superb and well worth it. Nice ambience, great service and the food is divine.
