It is the responsibility of the landlord that the tanks are full. LOL

...assuming there is a main pipe in the street in the first place. Many areas don't have a gas pipe for miles.
Around here there are no mains for gas, but gas is one of the most popular forms of heating. Most of us just have tanks in our yards (or buried in the yard) and the nice gas man drives up in his big truck to fill us up. FWIW, approx €3000 will last about a year and a half for a family of four. It goes fast because it gets very, very cold in winter. It can be -10 degrees for a few weeks at a time during the winter.

You sound like one of those bad German landlords that need to be put on THE LIST.

Does anyone know where to find prices and regilations for having an LPG Tank installed??

Also I am looking for a reliable English speaking Plumber

I'm in the process of looking at getting an LPG gas tank removed. You can have it if you want. I'm sure the guy who removes it will be happy to advise on the legal and technical aspects of re-installation. This decision has been made on the basis of the exorbitant cost of LPG heating in comparison to almost all other fuels and that tax advantages on LPG purchase will shortly be removed which will further increase the costs dramatically in the next 10 years or so. Even with these advantages the TCO over 15 years of LPG is more than double the cheapest alternatives.
