July 4th celebrations in Berlin

Hi! I looked for a topic, but didn't see one - sorry if it already exists.

Does anyone have plans for July 4th?? I'm moving to Berlin tomorrow and don't know anyone yet, I think it'd be a great way to meet new people and make new friends

(maybe since July 4th is not a weekend we could celebrate it either a weekend early or a weekend late)

Let me know if you're interested, and maybe we could work something out!!

ps - this is open to everyone, don't think you can't respond cause you don't celebrate american independance day.

Is there a plan? I vote for a BBQ somewhere. I can make good hummus and veggies... but I dont have a grill...

Yes, I realized that I was looking at August on my calendar instead of July when I wrote that. Sorry!! Mistake on my part...didn't realize until after I posted.

Hey! American here - just heard about this as well - could be fun in the later afternoon and evening? Starts around 3pm, and then goes all night Hairy Mary's is having an evening party as well. Also heard there was a party at the Brandenburg Gate during the day?

What kind of beers will be available?

No idea, but you can check the website (www.tspevents.com) and it might have some more info. Also, it's outdoors, so you can probably bring your own as well?
