"welcome to TT, the land of regular sized egos rapidly inflated by the lack of being able to express one's self to the level one would in their homeland and/or native language...and of course boredom and antagonism."

THIS

It's like a f'ing alternate universe on here. Unreal.

Regrets to the OP, totally unacceptable.

lol, "research". She went to a club for a few drinks (I presume) and a laugh, not to to her post-doc.
sorry but berghain is not just a club you happen to end up at, nor is it a place that you go to "for a few drinks." the club expects the attendees to know a bit about the music they represent there. there are plenty of other places to meet people for a few drinks, berghain is not one of those places.

'life or just online'

All I can say is stop bringing your attempt at a spide filled evening of great disappointment life online.
ye I need to get a life I suppose!!!

Berghain is one of the most (in)famous clubs in the world. They're not some random hipster joint that opened up last week and decided to enforce arbitrary rules. They're very well established and very well known. "Research" involves talking to pretty much anyone who has been in Berlin for more than five minutes.

Yes, no asshole should be stealing your camera. But I'm completely baffled that anyone has managed to hear about Berghain and go, but not have the slightest clue what it's about.

I have never heard of the Berghain. I have lived here for 10 years but lead a very quiet life as a stay at home dad and also work from home - so I am usually more interested in the best playgrounds in Berlin rather than clubs. So now I learned something else about Berlin, thanks! I certainly didn't know about the no cameras in clubs rule and that some clubs turn away tourists.

tbh, most jocks and punters talk specifically about the panorama bar in berghain, since that's where the big names play. tresor has a much bigger name than berghain, and you can take as many photos as you want in tresor

Yep I've heard of Tresor
xargon
Tresor is freakin' awesome. And anyone who suggests here that the OP should be thrown out of the club and have there camera stolen by the bouncers need to get a CT scan of their brains.

I know what Berghain is about, I've been to loads of clubs like it in the past. I've been going to them for a long time. It's big and it's raw but there are a lot of great clubs around the world that are as good and as far as I'm concerned the atmosphere, the buzz the whole experience are what makes a club amazing not the fact that it's got a load of a$$holes on the door being rude to people because they can. My point is i made a MISTAKE and was treated obscenely. OK maybe I should get googling and read through the rule of all the places I'm going to be going in the next 3 months but thats mental!!! All they had to do was take the camera off me and give me a ticket like the bouncer said they should have done, not screamed in my face "whats wrong with you?" and tell me there gonna kick my ass when I'm asking can I go in and get my friends and then steal my freakin camera!!!

Have you made a police report yet?

No, I don't think I'll bother, gonna put it down as a bad experience

Given how full of anger and outrage your earlier posts were "No, I don't think I'll bother, gonna put it down as a bad experience" seems like a rather odd stance to now take.

Did it really all transpire as you've suggested or have you perhaps built some parts up for dramatic effect? I'm not suggesting that you're making anything up, but I suspect you might be making some of it up. Your first post was made at 6:49 on Sunday morning so I'm suspecting you weren't up at that hour to milk the cows or because the travesty which occurred was weighing so heavily on your mind.

I think what I might be getting at is the question of whether you were an innocent in the aforementioned scenario or a pissed-up and aggressive punter who got chucked out amidst a flurry of verbal and possibly potentially physical abuse.

well I realise there's little point so why bring more stress on myself?? as for whether you believe me, if you want to take what I said on grand, if you don't well don't.

Is this what you really wanted to say in the first post?

Whenever I've made a Police report, the coppers have been very nice and gave me a bit of paper for my insurance. Even if you don't want to report the alleged assault, I'm kinda baffled as to why you don't want to have a chance of getting your camera back. And they probably have an English-speaker too.
Especially as the camera may well be at the Fundbüro now and you'd need that paper to pick it up.

Could you please come to my flat should you ever be in Munich? I'd like to nick your stuff when chucking you out as it doesn't seem to bother you that much. Thanks!
