Water playground for kids in Westpark - Munich

How to get there, location info etc.

fuji-chan
Hello,

since it's an absolute gorgeous day, and since i have one more child today i was thinking of giving the water playground in Westpark another try. That is, we've not tried it yet, but we've already tried to get to it. Without managing. Not too much of a problem though cuz we never went during such a nice and sunny and warm day.
So please please please please, could a helpful soul explain me how to get there? I suppose we'll take the U-bahn, but not quite sure. I know two other playgrounds within the park, i can also picture where the asian buildings are.
Thank you sooooo much!

Ever tried using GOOGLE? If you enter Wasser[sup]*[/sup] and Westpark the 3rd link that pops up is: Wasserspielplatz im Westpark München

There is an address: Wasserspielplatz im Westpark München
Westpark (Untersendling, Preßburger Straße)
81377-München

There would appear to be a map at the bottom of the page that is shown.

*German for water....

It´s in the eastern part of the park. You enter the park at corner Heiterwanger Str. - Rattenberger Str. and then turn right.

I should be called Dr. Google.
Google Earth is another amazing help. Type in Wasserspielplatz and Westpark and you even get a wonderful satelite view of the playground.

Yes HEM, i di this some minutes ago, but it appears to be just at the place where we enter the park when we get out of the U-bahn. And i have never seen it, so i might just miss it this time again.
I have been searching for a proper map of the park with google, stating what is where, but it seems like no such thing exists. I would definitely like to have directions from someone who's already been there, but if i can't have that of course i will head to the place suggested (Untersendling, Pressburger strasse).

Freising, you're my savior!
Actually i didn't think of googlearth, but then again with googlearth no street names are written.
Your explanations are most welcome, this wil be THE time!
Thanks again!

Always glad to help. I wish I was six again. That playground looks amazing. Btw Google Earth does have street names. You just need to activate the "Roads" Layer.

Thanks again Freising, next time i will know better!
And, ahem, HEM, actually the location given by GOOGLE (Untersendling, Preßburger Straße) is not the good one...
