Date night ideas for a married couple

I just wanted to see what you all do here for fun as a couple or when you get a chance to get out without the kiddos. My hubby and I are trying to have a weekly date night and have quickly run out of cheap, local things to do besides dinner.

We've been disappointed with the movies showing so skip that. We also had been going to a casino in Holland but we're trying to just go there occasionally. We don't need to make weekly visits there!

bowling, theatre, jazz club, Opera, after work parties... go swimming togehter, bike rides with a picnic packed with yummy foods and some good wine...

depends what you both are into.

dress up or down and arrrange to meet somewhere like you do not know each other, build it up (the date) with sms notes etc and get into a fantasy about sex with a stranger.. it works everytime.

If I could get to Holland for an evening, I'd go there every evening. Mmmm, stoned date.

Not a parent, but a frequent babysitter... you could always ask whoever you have watch your kids to take them out while you guys stay at home. It gives you an opportunity to just relax, cook a meal together, watch an old movie that you both really love, do some other things you really love, etc. without any interruption.
And in many ways it can be easier for the babysitter too, we can just watch them run around in circles at a park and play with other kiddos their age .
