Hi
Can someone be so kind as to translate the following for me.

Die Betreiber haften im Rahmen der gesetzlichen Bestimmungen für Personenschäden.

Thanks
Rob

The operators are liable for personal injury in accordance with legal requirements.

maybe?

Sounds perfect to me.

correct translation, however it depends on the context, for example if an insurance policy doc then it is stating you are responsible, for a bungi jump also ect,(personal responsibility) but it could also be in context of work where the person 'in charge' is responsible.
robsy
thanks for the replies.
its a waldseilgarten, that is and adventure playground in the trees so I guess the operator is the person taking part, but what are the legal requirements that the translation mentions?
On its own the direct translation doesn't mean much to me.

Thanks
murphy
that the operator is liable for their own risk so to speak, so if you fall from the tree then its your own insurance who has to pay for example..
robsy
thanks

"Betreiber" in that context doesn't mean the people taking part, it's operator as in "owner" or "carrier".

So I guess it means the owner of that place is liable for accidents that happen because of damaged equipment or lack of instructions but not if you don't follow these instructions.

Or you can rent the whole place for a couple of hours. In that case it would mean if you rent it, you're responsible for other people using it during that time.
