I’ve been going to Frank’s place since he opened. Stadtklause is truly a Berlin experience filled with character and characters. The decor is an homage to the Anhalter Hbf remains down the street, including a shelf of books about the times and the station. The food is simple, homemade and fresh. Frank bakes the excellent bread right there. The menu changes often, but the Strammer Max is my favorite. I can’t wait for winter when the wood fire is lit to warm the room. If you want to eat where the locals eat, head to the Stadtklause.
