Biddy Early's Irish Pub - Stuttgart

Biddy Early's Irish Pub is a large pub run by native English-speakers. There is karaoke on every wednesday and live music on Friday and Saturday. I just can say it's great!

They don't serve food, which is a massive negative and their karaoke is crap as they haven't added any new songs since about 1993.

This pub advertises that it shows football. Well, on a Wednesday night it might, but without sound due to that bloody awful cacophony know as karaoke. On top of that they wanted to hit me with a 2 euro cover charge to listen to the shit. If you want to watch footie forget this place, and I certainly won't be going there again :-(

Go to O'Reillys near Schwabstrasse S-Bahn stop for the football. Biddys has some good bands on on a weekend.

Cheers Dave2, I'll try there tonight. I went to Biddys again last night (even though I said I wouldn't ever go back) to watch the Besiktas v Man Utd match, and guess what - it was closed :-( Off to O'Reilley' tonight it is then.

It would have been closed as the Rangers fan are in town, O'Reillys might not be open tonight because of them either. They're not the sort you really want in an Irish pub.

Yup, you are correct. I went there and it was closed. I can understand why as I was in an Irish pub In Frankfurt a few years ago watching Celtic in the Champions League and about 50 Rangers fans came steaming in. It was bloody scary as they started chucking chairs about and then they tried to set fire to the Irish flag outside. Now don't get me wrong, I'm English and love football, but I just don't see a place for all this religious bigotry, it's a bloody game after all.
